“Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.”

“Praise the LORD, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies,”

“For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds,” says the LORD, “because they have called you an outcast, saying, ‘It is Zion, whom no man seeks after.’””
Context: Spoken to a nation described as an outcast, whose wounds nobody else would treat.
“But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed.”

Context: A summary of Jesus' work: teaching, proclaiming and healing every kind of sickness.
“He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.”
Context: Broken hearts and bound wounds — healing here is emotional as well as physical.
